
Salem, Jun 30: Global Positioning Systems will be installed in garbage lorries and water tankers of the Salem Municipal Corporation, a top official said here today.
Corporation Commissioner M Asokan said the GPS would be put in place in all 60 wards.
The system would enable precise monitoring of works, he said, adding a biometric system would also be introduced for recording attendance of sanitary supervisors and other workers.
